Keep the Mind Working Well

It is imperative that you become familiar with the magnificent endowment called mind. Why? Because everything begins with a thought—at least on a conscious level. Our thoughts (and this includes feelings, the thoughts of our emotions) reflect how we perceive the world; they become our reality. Meaningful and lasting change requires the consent of your mind.

Fundamental to taking control of your mind is your mental attitude. Embrace each negative thought and feeling as an insight that allows you to move beyond them. It’s not so much introspection; that can draw you into an unproductive and time consuming revisit of hurt. Rather, it’s a quick reflection of where the thought or feeling came from. And then let it go; release it; it no longer has a place in your life. If they are deeply embedded, they will arise again, so don’t be dismayed. Just keep releasing them. And don’t feel bad at yourself. God loves you and is watching and encouraging you as the loving divine Father that he is.

It is when you have become aware of your thoughts and feelings that you learn what is going on in your mind. You gain insight into why you are thinking and feeling these things. Then you can use your conscious mind in each situation to make the best of who you are. The most effective way to do this is by making a choice for the highest good for the most people for the longest time. Everything depends on this high spirit connection.
